Blood was a dps spec back when DKs were first introduced. They changed tanking to blood, because tanking as frost didn’t feel right to many people. It was easier to hold aggro as blood, than it was frost. I’m not sure if thats the real reason of why they ended up changing it. It's the hardest spec to learn, because it can be very punishable if you f*ck up your rotation. Mainly a single-target DPS spec, but can surprise you on AoE if your procs align. Unholy is king of AoE and is the best spec after T7 (maybe T8). Blood is the easier spec to learn.
