Well I think I figured it out. I traced the plow power cable back to the solenoid. When the raise or angle buttons are pressed you can hear the solenoid engage but there is no 12v on the output. I measure a good 12v on the input but on the output there is only 3 to 5v.That's what I'm tell you. Western part numbers don't really matter for you plow. Any good 4 post solenoid for a plow will work. If the solenoid is only a 3 post, then more then likely it is grounded through the case which in your case won't really work, unless you mount it on plastic. You could have a bad ground on the relay or a bad ground on motor! You have to run a ground wire to the casing of your relay are its not going to work right! A bad ground to motor will run you amps up!
