Turn key and nothing happens but lights work
The dome light did NOT come on when the door was open. I turned it on with the switch. The check engine light went off immediately after I turned the key to start. Yesterday it stayed on. When starting, the dome light flickered (I had turned it on manually today) , as it should. I would start with looking for a "kill" switch under your dash somewhere. there are common to keep mechanics from losing fingers. disconnect all batter cables, clean posts, clean terminals, make SURE you do the cross over cable too. Upon turning the key NOTHING happens. No starter clicks, nothing. Checked the clutch interlink switch. No problems there. The dash seems to indicate that it knows the clutch is pushed in. The "Press the clutch" warning goes away when I turn the key with the clutch in as opposed to staying when I don't depress the clutch.
