MS170 Chainsaw (almost new) wont start. I need some help before I give up and just send it into the shop. I have a nearly new (maybe ran once or twice...it was my uncle's but he died shortly after purchasing). It has not run for a few years, and I can't get it to start. It looks nearly new. I replaced the spark plug, and it is delivering a spark.- Stihl ms-170, 7 years old, been good as gold for years - Not used for 3 months - Starter cord stuck - Take plug out, cord turns easily. So my thinking is to look for an exhaust blockage. - Muffler is indeed dirty black, but can't see any blockage.
