The M11-A1 is a P229. It is essentially a P229 SAS gen 2. The differences are the original style P228 grips, phosphate coated internals, 3 magazines instead of 2, a sweet SIG engraving on the top of the slide and tactical UID sticker on the frame. It also says "M11-A1" instead of P229.The M11 (sidearm I was issued and carried in Germany) is a P228, Stamped & folded carbon steel slide, 9mm, no rail.
