I’m leaning woodwind and even considering the smaller models of each but didn’t want to leave myself wanting more like if I wanted to smoke a brisket and ribs or a turkey and maybe some Mac and cheese.

I see lots of postings on this forum about the 590, mostly positive, however the RecTeq forum has several NEGATIVE reviews. Not a lot of Negative reviews anywhere on the Silverbac.I have seen posts suggesting the use of high temp gasket on lid to help keep the smoker clean. it nay keep it cleaner, but according to the RecTeq support article (below), the performance may suffer. The RECTEQ RT-700 is a little cheaper by around $100, but it offers a smaller overall cooking area and doesn’t offer direct-flame access. Though I would give RECTEQ the edge in control panel technology. It will be interesting to see if Pit Boss starts to offer more stainless steel pellet grills to compete with the likes of RECTEQ.The recteq RT-B380 Bullseye held 225℉ without a hitch for the entire 5 hours while cooking these spare ribs.
