This happens with no activity. There have aslo been some occasions that the red light flashes without the waste tray being full. The litter is above the fill line or in excess of 10lbs. Basically anytime you do anything to the LR3, hit the reset button on the base (not the app). Like if you move the unit, add litter, empty the drawer, etc. it resets the weight, which is a critical part of how the LR3 operates.
