Need help trying to find good apple carplay for jetta s 2017. hey everyone, i recently purchased my jetta today, it's a 2017 jetta s tsi and it comes with a stock radio. I was used to driving around my parents car that came with apple carplay already with the car so i'm hoping to swap radios, any help or recommendations as well as pointers ...Im a certified mechanic and machinist and an engineer at heart. So with a bit of planning I was able to create what I consider a easier way to make a more reliable and aesthetically pleasing jetta truck, DIY for about %20 of the kits cost. I was only tipping it off since it was at the min line so I literally only put in maybe half a cup ...I have a 2019 GLI, With similar drive to yours. If I drive just to work and back it's 500 miles a week. Mine is sitting at 31k miles in 1.5 years. As long as you keep up on maintenance you'll be fine. You got a vacuum leak. Pop the hood and listen for anything that sounds like rushing air, kinda like a hissing noise. I say start from the intake/filter and work your way along any hoses that come from there all the way to the manifold. I say also to maybe check the intake hose that come from the filter box as well.Base Jetta is an unpopular model that usually sells on discounts. Some of the lower trim Jetta can get slightly more power if you run premium (min 87, 93 recommended) If you have a Jetta that just says 87 on the gas cap then running premium won't do anything beneficial. The 2.0 slow is well, slow and gutless but aside from that incredibly reliable. They used variations of the engine design from the 90's until 2015 when they replaced it with the 1.4l TSI. I believe they only make 120-130hp but for a reason.
Just to jump in on this, depending on how long they plan on keeping this car, warranty favors the jetta. A 2019 jetta has a fully transferable 6 year 72k miles bumper to bumper warranty, while the kia's 100k powertrain warranty isn't transferable, it drops to 5 year 60k.
