After installing the barrel on my 10/22 , i sighted in at 25 yards, once that was accomplished I moved back to 50 yards for groups. The first group was 1/2” , the second group was just under 1/2”. That’s with CCI standard velocity 40 grain. Target, small game. I wish Green Mountain listed specs on these new barrels. Judging by the depth of the fluting on their 10/22 barrels, the 16" version should be about 2 lbs, 2 oz., which is 7 oz. less than the stock 18" barrel at 2lbs 9 oz. As to Midway's Green Mountain barrel, haven't bought one. However, a shooting buddy has bought a couple of Green Mountain fluted stainless F54 contour 308 win (for a mauser action Zavasta rifles) barrels from Midway in the last several months..
