It's almost a straight shot over the fuel tank, over the top of the engine with a turn down to the rear of the generator. I took the pump off and disassembled it. When I press in the clutch half way the gears grind (pto running or not). When I press the pedal about 1" or 2" from the floor I can change the gears (with pto running). The pto stops with the pedal all the way to the floor as normal and I can change gears.Aug 21, 2021. #1. I am going to replace the thermostat in my 3000 when I flush it out. The I & T shop manual says use a 188 degree thermostat with 7psi radiator cap. The book also says I can go with a 160,168, or 178 degree thermostat but 188 is recommended. YT sells a 168 and 172 thermostat with a 13psi radiator cap.

Just picked up the tractor and the numbers say it has a 6/4 manual reverse transmission.A 5000 psi liquid filled guage is around $20 at Northern Tool and probably Harbor Fright too. Screw it onto one of your remote/auxilliary hoses and open the valve for a second or two. Post back with what it reads. Your pump should make around 2500 psi. You must have a later 3000 as the early ones used a 3 bolt manifold there to secure both lines to the pump. Those rubber type hydraulic fittings weren't the best idea. What happens is due to vibration the metal gripping part of that rubber nut eats away at the steel line so it' doesn't grab so well.
