Been getting a few repeated crashes where my game just freezes or goes black, then after a few seconds my mouse/cursor appears on the screen, and a few seconds later the game crashes.Dec 5, 2023 · This has been an issue for several months that I know of. Since the last patch I have only had to do this about 4 times, but now my game will just randomly crash every 10-20 hours. I routinely clear the cache and verify the integrity of BF2042 game files. I've noticed that I get 3 files failing integrity at least once weekly.

Jul 8, 2018 · The "one file failed to validate and will be reacquired" is normal. It happens to me too and the game works fine for me. That one file is just a save file or something that wont be overridden because then you lose progress. Thats just a guess tho.
