I managed to get a Y!Hector around 10 summons in and gave Armored Beacon and VF4 to my B!Edelgard. Armored Beacon certainly does help her be a more effective Far Savior unit but having to give up her A-Slot to run a DC skill still does hurt. I'd imagine B!Edelgard would be cracked as a Far Save unit once a DC Seal for Armored units comes out.
