This was a commitment because it's a 9-hour, round trip/non-stop flight from Atlanta. My son is 16 for perspective. And we are huge Disney fans. If you are planning on swimming the lagoons you can park there for free. The Aulani also does validate parking so it might be a bit cheaper than the regular charge. Personally, I wouldn't take kids to the Aulani if not planning on staying.
